Welcome to Mainelyst. By using this website, creating an account, or purchasing any listing or upgrade, you agree to the following simple terms.

1. Purpose of Mainelyst

Mainelyst is a Maine business directory where users can browse, list, claim, and promote local businesses. We provide listing tools and optional paid upgrades to help businesses increase visibility.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to add, manage, or claim a business.
You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.
Each account receives 1 Free Listing. Additional listings require purchase.

3. Listings

A “listing slot” allows you to create one business listing.
Free Listing: Limit 1 per account.
Additional Listings: No limit; each purchase adds one slot.
You must provide accurate business information.
Mainelyst may remove listings that are fraudulent, harmful, or inappropriate.

4. Claim Verification

Claim Verification is used to verify ownership of an existing listing.
It does not create a new listing slot.
You must be logged in and purchase Claim Verification directly from the listing page.
We may request proof of ownership if needed.

5. Boost Upgrades

Boosts increase visibility for a set duration (30, 90, or 365 days).
You may purchase a Boost at any time, but you must have at least one active listing to apply it.
Boosts are applied from your Dashboard → Listings → ⭐ Star Icon.
Boost 90 and Boost 365 include placement on the Featured Maine Businesses page.
Boost 365 includes one Facebook promotion post.

6. Payments & Refunds

All purchases are non‑refundable.
Payments are processed securely by our third‑party provider.
Mainelyst does not store full payment details.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to post harmful, illegal, or misleading content.
You agree not to impersonate another business or individual.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

8. Website Availability

We work to keep Mainelyst running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update or modify features at any time.

9. Liability

Mainelyst is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for business outcomes, customer interactions, or third‑party content. You use the site at your own discretion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to improve clarity or reflect new features. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.
