How It Works
1. Create an Account
Logged out users must sign in before adding or claiming a business. Logged in users go straight to their dashboard.
2. Purchase Free Listing (Limit 1)
Unlocks your first listing slot. If logged out, checkout creates your account automatically.
3. Find “Add Listing”
Available in the header, dashboard, and homepage. If you have 0 listing slots, you will be taken to the Shop page to purchase a listing slot.
4. Add Your Business
Fill out your business details. If you have 0 listing slots, you must purchase a Free or Additional Listing first.
5. Claim a Listing
Logged out users get an error. Logged in users can purchase Claim Verification directly from the listing page only.
6. Boost Visibility
Boost upgrades increase your listing’s visibility with featured placement, priority ranking, and enhanced styling.
You can purchase a Boost even if you have 0 listings. However, you cannot apply or use the Boost until you have at least one active listing.
To apply your Boost:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click Listings
- Find the listing you want to feature
- Click the ⭐ Star icon to apply your Boost
Boost durations & visibility:
- Boost 30 — 30 days featured in search results
- Boost 90 — 90 days featured in search + Featured Maine Businesses page
- Boost 365 — 365 days featured in search + Featured Maine Businesses page + Facebook promotion post

Edit listings, apply Boosts, check claim status, and manage listing slots from your dashboard.
